Submit an Event

Event Submission Policy

To ensure your diocesan, parish, or Catholic school-sponsored event is featured on the Ocean State Catholic website and in the weekly eNewsletter, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Submission Deadline: Press releases must be submitted via email by Wednesday to be considered for inclusion in that weekend’s edition of the Ocean State Catholic eNewsletter. Events will also be posted on the appropriate Ocean State Catholic regional webpage by Friday.

  • Alternative Submission: If you prefer not to email a press release, you may fill out our contact form with all relevant event details.

  • Graphic Submissions: You may submit a graphic or JPEG flyer of your event for posting. The flyer must contain all relevant information, including the event’s location, date, and time. Please note that submitted graphics will be posted as-is, and we will not edit or add information to the flyer.

  • Ongoing Liturgies and Paraliturgical Devotions: Regularly scheduled Sunday and daily Masses, Confessions, Eucharistic Adoration, and other prayer opportunities are listed on their respective county webpages. Any new events or changes in the schedule may be highlighted with a unique post.

  • Content Editing: All submissions are treated as press releases, meaning that while we welcome your content, we do not simply copy and paste submissions. We reserve the right to edit, re-write, provide context, and add background information as warranted to ensure clarity and consistency with our editorial standards.

  • Editorial Standards: As a mobile-friendly online news and information source committed to faithfully upholding the Magisterium of the Church, we do not promote events that contradict, oppose, or call into question established Church tradition, doctrine, or dogma.

  • Space Limitations: Due to limited space, submissions may be edited and may only appear in one edition of the eNewsletter. Events will be removed from the website once the event date has passed.

  • Mass Schedule Exceptions: We generally do not promote individual Mass schedules for Holy Days of Obligation, with the exception of Christmas and the Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday).

  • Social Media: Please do not send event submissions via social media.
