Saint Angelo d’Acri, 1754

WESTERLY — On Sunday, 25 October 2026, the parish of Immaculate Conception, 111 High Street, will celebrate the Feast of Saint Angelo d’Acri with Holy Mass at 11am, a procession at noon and Benediction at 1pm.

Saint Angelo of Acri (Luca Antonio Falcone, 1669–1739) was an Italian Capuchin Franciscan priest renowned as the “Apostle of Calabria” and the “Angel of Peace” for his powerful ministry in southern Italy. He was beatified in 1825 by Pope Leo XII and canonized in 2017 by Pope Francis. His liturgical feast day is 30 October.

An Italian dinner will follow immediately in the parish hall. There is no charge to attend, and all are welcome. Those planning to attend are asked to complete the RSVP sheet at the church entrance.
