NEWPORT – On Saturday, 26 September 2026, the Museum of Newport Irish History will conduct a tour of historic Saint Joseph Cemetery, located at the corner of Barney and Mount Vernon Streets.
Beginning at 1pm, the tour will explore the circa-1828 cemetery, known locally as the Barney Street Cemetery. The site is closely associated with the beginnings of Rhode Island’s oldest Catholic parish.
