BURRILLVILLE – On Saturday, 12 September 2026, Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus Church and Shrine, 35 Dion Drive, will host the 35th annual diocesan SPRED Mass and picnic beginning at 11am.
Special Religious Education (SPRED) helps parishes in the Diocese of Providence serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program fosters their inclusion in faith formation, worship and parish life.
The Rev. Shawn Carey, director of the Deaf Apostolate of the Archdiocese of Boston, will celebrate the Mass. Participants are asked to bring a side dish, appetizer or dessert for the picnic.
